Providing unbiased expert interpretation of a project or topic is commonly required by individuals and organizations. ELM has experience with this process as both the reviewed, and the reviewer.
Our Principal Brian Colleran has spent several years reviewing projects under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act as either a Conservation Commissioner or Agent in three towns. He has successfully submitted two articles for peer review to the Journal Invasive Plant Science and Management. Brian has also been asked to provide peer reviews of scientific articles prior to their publication for several other scientific journals. His understanding of the regulatory process for wetlands in Massachusetts, in combination with his ability to parse technical documents and identify needed improvements makes him an ideal resource for any peer review.
