Restoration Planning

Restoring anything in an ecological setting is rarely a straightforward challenge. Past, current, and future land use; hydrology, climate, and a host of other possible influences need to be taken into account. The restoration goal needs to be decided upon, species selected, and contractors chosen. Regulatory requirements may also exist, especially if working on ecosystems with or near to water. Exploring and understanding issues such as these form the starting point for any successful ecological restoration project.

ELM is well positioned to develop and implement plans for successful ecosystem restorations. Our Principal Brian Colleran has been involved with restoration projects for over a decade, is certified accordingly, and is well versed in the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (WPA). Whether the challenges for your restoration project are regulatory, ecological, or otherwise, we can get you to your goal.
