New England Knotweed Control & Ecological Restoration Specialist

Helping landowners be the stewards they want to be

Invasive knotweeds.

One of the most infamous plants on the planet.

If you want to solve big environmental problems, you sometimes have to start, literally, in your own backyard. I plan and conduct ecological restoration, especially in my area of specialty, the management and control of Japanese knotweed.

Services

  • Knotweed

Knotweeds threaten building foundations, streambanks, and climate resiliency plans. I provide eradication services, policy consultation, and am available for research collaboration.

  • Society for Ecological Restoration Restorative Continuum

    Ecological Restoration

Invasive species removal is the first step in ecological restoration, and strong follow up plans allow native ecosystems to recover and thrive. I provide land management services using an ecological framework to support full-spectrum restoration.

  • Wetlands

Wetlands are invaluable ecosystems, and also among the most threatened, degraded, and regulated. Using a decade of experience with the Wetlands Protection Act in Massachusetts, I provide assistance with the regulatory process for projects.

    Resiliency & Adaptation

Change is here. More is coming. Climate adaptation planning will require healthier wetlands, fewer invasive species, and a lot less knotweed. I provide climate planning and action consultation, especially related to invasive species, flooding, and infrastructure.
